The movie entitled “You’re My Boss” where Toni Gonzaga plays the boss of Coco Martin who portrays an Assistant. But due to situation, the two switched roles. Gonzaga became the assistant while Martin plays the boss. Toni Gonzaga is the sarcastic and serious bossy type while Coco Martin is the happy go lucky, cool and humble assistant.
I’m quite excited for Coco Martin to play romantic comedy coz’ he is most seen in heavy Dramas. But here, this will be totally different Coco Martin. He will not make us cry instead he will make us laugh out loud in this movie! This will be their first movie together.
The idea of the movie comes from Toni Gonzaga and directed by Antoinette Jadaone (“That Thing Called Tadhana,” “Beauty in a Bottle,” “Relaks, It’s Just Pag-ibig”). The Director said in one of the interviews, that everything just works naturally. Toni plays a big part in the movie, because she made the whole movie so natural. And most of their shoots were taken only once. Her humor was very helpful in the making of the movie.
As Paul Soriano’s comment on the Movie, “I saw it. I personally enjoyed it. It’s one of those light, feel-good [movies]. You don’t have to think. You can enjoy. I know si Toni magaling 'yan sa comedy. Pero si Coco, natawa talaga ako. I see him sa mga serious films niya, sa ‘Serbis,’ sa Cannes, tapos all of a sudden naging comedy. Ang galing niya,” he said.
Let’s watch how these two actors transformed each other’s forte.
You’re My Boss opens in theaters nationwide on April 4, 2015.
